Hydraulic wiper seals are installed as a part of the sealing configurations of hydraulic cylinders. They help prevent dirt and dust particles, metallic chips, weld flash, and moisture from entering the piston rods as they retract into the system.
Popularly known as wipers or scrapers, these seals also keep the lubricant from escaping the hydraulic system. Wiper seals contribute greatly in improving the uptime of your equipment, as they prevent the contamination of the hydraulic fluid which can damage the wear rings and other components.
